You will be a foundational team member with the opportunity to work on all aspects of the application and shape the product future of CivilGrid. Joining at this stage, you will build core systems that will help us scale quickly, and benefit from tremendous upside as we grow.
You will be responsible for:
- Own and prioritize the product roadmap across bugs, customer needs, and new features.
- Drive clarity from messy inputs—bugs, feature requests, customer pain points—into clear specifications.
- Partner closely with design & engineering on scoping, resourcing, and execution.
- Lead customer discovery and research to validate what to build next.
- Build lightweight processes, tools, and frameworks that will scale with CivilGrid as we grow.
Is this you?
- Builder-first mindset: You thrive in early-stage environments (Series B or earlier) where things are messy and undefined.
- Outcome focussed: You prioritize why over what. Able to unpack complex customer pain points and tie them back to product outcomes. (Civil engineering or construction-adjacent experience is helpful, but not required.)
- Product taste: You have impeccable product taste and strive for simplicity
- Technical fluency: Comfortable working side-by-side with engineers; you can read architecture diagrams, translate requirements, and spot gaps. (Engineering background or ERP/technical product experience is a plus.)
- Execution machine: You know how to spec features clearly, scope tradeoffs, and drive to outcomes.
- Strong communicator: Able to translate between technical and non-technical language with ease.
- Research-driven: Comfortable leading discovery with customers and validating product directions before committing engineering resources.
- Not too senior, not too junior: Hands-on, execution-focused, and excited to do the work yourself rather than only setting vision. You’ve been a PM or similar for 5+ years.
- Be the first PM at CivilGrid—building the foundation of our product culture and processes.
- Work directly with the CEO and Head of Product & Engineering on high-impact product decisions.
- Shape the roadmap of a product used by civil engineers, utilities, and infrastructure teams.
- Fast-moving, collaborative, small team where you’ll own meaningful outcomes from Day 1.
- Opportunity to grow as the company scales—your role and scope will grow with us.
- Competitive salary and equity
- Health insurance
- Flexible and remote-friendly work environment
- FSA (health and dependent care)
- Unlimited PTO
