We were founded in 2016 by our founder and CEO, Mick O’Dwyer. As a water & wastewater engineer at Dublin City Council (Ireland), Mick saw first hand how manual, paper-based and inefficient compliance programs can be. He created SwiftComply to fix this problem with modern, collaborative technology.

Today, SwiftComply supports over 400+ utilities that deliver water service to 50+ million citizens - and we’re expanding the team to make an even bigger impact!

About the role

SwiftComply is adding a new BDR to our growing team! We are a fast-paced company with a mission to modernize water compliance and empower cities, utilities, and businesses with tools that help protect the environment and public health. If this excites you, this role offers the chance to contribute to the sales pipeline, connect with mission-driven organizations, and make a real impact.

In this role you’ll connect with prospective customers to spark interest and schedule initial meetings with our sales team.

What you'll do

  • Performing light research and reaching out to new utilities and municipalities
  • Making 40+ outbound calls per day to spark interest
  • Qualifying leads by exploring pain points and program details
  • Tracking your activity and progress towards meeting weekly or monthly targets
  • Testing new outreach tactics and messaging
  • Sharing helpful meeting notes and setting up initial sales meetings with prospects
  • Receiving coaching from internal and external mentors

Who you are

Experiences that could help you succeed in this role include:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a BDR/SDR or doing other outbound sales
  • Strong communication skills - comfortable engaging with people and building rapport quickly
  • Curious and genuinely interested in learning about government programs
  • Comfortable doing research on public-sector prospects
  • Willingness to learn, adapt and continuously improve
  • Organized, detail-oriented and keeping clear notes/ records
  • Resilient and persistent - with the ability to handle rejection and stay motivated
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving company
  • Self-driven - comfortable working remotely and proactive about working with teammates
  • Comfortable working with tools such as CRMs and sales engagement platforms

Bonus points for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Experience working with public-sector stakeholders
  • Experience selling SaaS or tech solutions

Compensation

CAD$60k base + on-target commission of $20,000 (uncapped)

(We anticipate a successful rep to earn CAD$80k+ in their first year.)
